THE HOUR
HOW WE SOURCE

Wood first, always

Every oil starts as wood we have seen and smelled ourselves. We buy small lots, distil them whole, and stop when the lot is finished. There is no blending between distillations and no topping up from another batch.

01
Selecting the lot

We buy small quantities of wild, uncultivated agarwood. Region and harvest year are recorded before anything is cut.

02
Resting

Wood is rested before distilling, usually for years. This is the part nobody can shorten.

03
One run

Ground, soaked, then distilled in a single run by a named distiller.

04
The yield decides the edition

However much oil comes out is how many bottles exist. Usually eight to twelve.

Every oil, individually

Choose an oil to read where its wood came from, who distilled it, and what the run produced.

Nothing released yet.
